FAQ

Post-Surgical Care, questions families ask

When should I arrange post-surgical home care?
Ideally before discharge. Message us as soon as a surgery date or discharge date is known, and we will complete the assessment and have a care professional ready for day one at home.
Who delivers post-surgical care, a caregiver or a nurse?
It depends on the clinical need identified at assessment. Wound care and medication administration are handled at the Intermediate (CHEW) or Advanced (registered nurse) tiers; daily living support can be handled at the Basic tier alongside clinical visits.
Can you support recovery after a caesarean section?
Yes, and for new mothers we combine it with post-partum care: recovery support, newborn care assistance and rest for mum. See our post-partum care page.
Do you provide post-operative care outside Lagos?
Yes. We deploy recovery care to all 36 states and the FCT. The assessment can be done in-home anywhere in Nigeria.
What happens if something goes wrong during recovery?
Our care professionals monitor for warning signs daily and escalate immediately to our clinical team and your family. For emergencies, patients go to the nearest hospital; we provide planned care and early detection, not emergency response.
